Money – it’s a topic that affects every aspect of our lives, whether we’re employees, business owners, or remote workers. In 2023, many families are feeling the financial pinch more than ever. Rising food prices, increased costs of living – it’s a challenge we all face. Hi there, I’m Sonia Eckel, and I’m excited to delve into the world of money mindset with you today.
A Little About Me
Before we dive into the realm of finances, let me introduce myself. I’m Sonia Eckel, an independent consultant for Norwex, a Silver Senior Vice President Leader. My journey has taken me from full-time physical therapy to teaching childbirth classes, and now, I proudly represent Norwex. I’ve always had a passion for wellness and a desire to make a lasting difference.
The Financial Stress Factor
Do you find yourself stressed about finances? I can relate. No matter how well your needs are met, financial stress can still linger. I’ve often felt the burden of financial worries hanging over my head, and I bet many of you can relate.
The Journey with Norwex
Around 14 years ago, I embarked on a journey with Norwex, seeking extra income as a stay-at-home mom. Financial stress often overshadowed our lives, and I wanted to change that. Norwex presented a unique opportunity to share practical, cost-saving products during the 2009 recession when many families, like mine, couldn’t afford luxury items.
My Extra $500 Dream
Initially, my goal was modest – an extra $500 per month would be great. But as I built my Norwex business, it grew beyond my expectations. Each step required me to expand my financial mindset. And as my business grew, so did my mindset.
The Money Mindset Shift
Money mindset was a significant factor in my journey. Instead of viewing money with stress and anxiety, I learned to see its potential for abundance and blessings. But this shift didn’t happen overnight. It was a journey, and it might be for you too.
Money Talk
Money can trigger various emotions, from stress to anxiety to fear. Take a moment to reflect on your emotional response when you think about finances. Understanding your emotional relationship with money is the first step in changing your money mindset.
The Power of Words
Words hold incredible power. Are you constantly saying, “We can’t afford that”? Consider how speaking lack can influence your mindset and impact your family. Instead, focus on your priorities and choices, such as saving for important goals.
Teaching the Next Generation
The way you speak about money affects your children too. Instead of instilling a scarcity mindset, teach them to prioritize and make choices that align with their goals.
The Book
Recently, I felt called to write a book. It’s a culmination of my journey, lessons, and the mentors who helped me transform my money mindset. This book, launching on October 10th, delves into the Biblical perspective on money and empowers readers to reset their money mindset.
Join me on this journey of financial transformation. Let’s move from scarcity and poverty mindsets to abundance and blessings. The power to reshape your financial future is within your reach. Start by shifting your words and priorities. Together, we can walk in the promises of abundance and financial freedom.
Stay tuned for more insights and discussions on money mindset in the coming weeks. Thank you for joining me, and remember, financial freedom is closer than you think.
