Here is a helpful tip that was shared in our monthly newsletter!
Q: What are the proper washing instructions and is it true you can OVER boil your Microfiber?
A: Yes, that is absolutely true. Boiling your microfiber for 10 minutes will deep clean and help remove stubborn stains and odors; however, this type of treatment should only be done a couple times per year, if needed.
An alternate option is to “Deep Clean“ your microfiber cloths, that can be used as often as needed, is to soak in hot water and add a teaspoon of Ultra Power Plus Norwex Laundry Detergent. Let stand a couple hours (or even overnight) allowing the water to cool. After soaking, launder as usual. (We call this the “Norwex Deep Clean”, and it works very well!)
Regular laundering instructions are as follows: Launder your microfiber cloths in hot water with other lint-free laundry using the Norwex Ultra Power Plus laundry detergent or other environmentally friendly detergent. Do not use bleach or fabric softener, as these will destroy the product’s ability to clean effectively.

What happens when you over boil your cloths? Would they become slimy?
Great question, Anastasia! I actually very rarely boil my cloths at all… once a year at most. My preferred method of deep-cleaning is to bring water to a boil, remove from heat and add a teaspoon of the Norwex Ultra Power Plus Laundry Detergent. Let that dissolve and then add cloths to soak for a while. After this soak, rinse very well and launder as usual. If you have very hard water, try boiling distilled water instead of tap water.
With that said, I’ve never experienced slimy cloths after boiling, but wouldn’t recommend overboiling anyway.
Hello! I was wondering do you wash all different norwex cloths together? Such as all your enviro cloths, kitchen cloths, and bath towels? Or do you do bath towels and kitchen cloths, bathroom cloths(for the toilet) separately?
Excellent question! Yes, I wash all of my Norwex together on HOT and then dry them. Just be sure you don’t use fabric softener or dryer sheets (which tend to be quite toxic, anyway, so worth eliminating from your laundry routine!)
